Lynden Pindling International Readies for a Busy Summer Travel Season
Our colleagues at Lynden Pindling International Airport are readying for a busy summer as travel recovers following the impact of COVID-19. With increasing numbers of vaccinated passengers eager to spend their vacation time in the beautiful Bahamas, as well as the addition of two cruise lines homeporting in Nassau for the first time this summer, the airport will be a busy place, particularly on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the season.
Health and safety remains paramount at LPIA as passenger traffic increases. LPIA was one of the first airports in Latin American and the Caribbean to achieve a COVID-19 Health Accreditation from Airports Council International, and the airport’s rigorous protocols for cleaning, sanitization and physical distancing will remain throughout the summer season.
Airport officials have developed a couple of helpful travel tip videos for both cruise and land-based passengers, to help them safely navigate LPIA and enjoy their airport experience.
