Amtrak Selects Vantage Team to Partner in Philadelphia’s Gray 30th Street Station Redevelopment
Vantage Airport Group is pleased to be part of Plenary Infrastructure Partners (PIP), the team selected by Amtrak to redevelop the historic William H. Gray III 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Composed of Plenary Americas USA Ltd., Gilbane Building Company, Johnson Controls Inc. and Vantage Airport Group Ltd, the PIP team will design, build, finance, operate and maintain the historic station, which is Amtrak’s third busiest station and serves some 12 million customers annually.
Following a competitive procurement process, PIP was selected to help advance Amtrak’s vision of a world-class station experience and gateway to Philadelphia.
“We are really excited to partner with Amtrak as part of this winning team and look forward to helping create a world-class station that Philadelphia’s communities will be proud of,” said Sammy Patel, Vice President, Commercial, Vantage Airport Group. “This announcement underscores Vantage’s deep commercial expertise, developed over 25 years of delivering award-winning commercial programs at airports worldwide. We look forward to delivering on another significant transportation infrastructure project.”
This announcement comes at an exciting time for Vantage, which recently announced the opening of LaGuardia Terminal B Arrivals & Departures Hall, a Vantage-led project and the largest transportation public-private partnership in U.S. history. Elsewhere, Vantage is the managing partner leading a $75 million redevelopment of the commercial program at Chicago’s Midway Airport, as part of joint venture Midway Partnership.
