Hamilton International Welcomes Canada’s First Delivery of COVID-19 Vaccines
On the evening of Sunday December 13, John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport demonstrated once again its critical importance as a hub for cargo and goods movement when it welcomed Canada’s first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines, delivered by UPS Canada with facilitation by Canada Border Services Agency.
On hand for the milestone were Ontario Premier Doug Ford, Ontario’s Minister of Public Services and Procurement, Anita Anand, and Cathie Puckering, CEO of John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.
Throughout the pandemic, Hamilton International has played a key role in the delivery and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Canadians and will continue to facilitate the movement of critical vaccine supply through its 24-hour dedicated cargo infrastructure.
