Hermes Airports Completes Financing Agreements and Proceeds with Commencement of Phase 2 Works for Larnaka and Pafos Airports

Hermes Airports has completed the financing process for Phase 2 works at Larnaka and Pafos Airports, with agreements signed with banks and construction companies. The construction will be carried out by Bouygues Batiment International SAS and Iacovou Brothers (Constructions) Ltd. An Independent Engineer has been selected to monitor the progress.
Phase 2 works will formally begin, with completion expected in 30 months at Larnaka Airport and 27 months at Pafos Airport. At Larnaka Airport, the works will include a new annex with departure and arrival gates, additional baggage claim belts, new passport control and security clearance areas, expanded commercial areas, and increased aircraft parking spaces. At Pafos Airport, the terminal capacity will increase by 30%, improving passenger experience and operational flexibility.
Today, we are moving forward with an investment by Hermes Airports, which exceeds €170 million, aiming to upgrade both airports and enhancing their capacity, ensuring they can effectively meet the needs of the new era, extending beyond the end of the current Concession Agreement period.
Upon completion, Larnaka Airport’s capacity will reach 12.4 million passengers per year, and Pafos Airport’s capacity will reach 5 million passengers per year. This investment, exceeding €170 million, aims to upgrade both airports and enhance their capacity for future needs.
