More Amenities Now Open at Modernized Chicago Midway International Airport
Two Hudson travel convenience stores and a Fannie May location are the latest openings in the ongoing redevelopment of Midway’s concessions program
Midway Partnership, the Vantage-led organization that manages the concession program at Chicago Midway International Airport, and The Chicago Department of Aviation recently celebrated the opening of three new amenities at the airport: two Hudson travel convenience stores and iconic Chicago chocolate shop Fannie May, all operated by Vantage’s partner, Hudson, a major travel retail operator.
Since 2017, Midway Partnership has invested more $75 million and added more than 70 new dining and retail brands to the airport. The total concessions area has expanded by about 30,000 square feet, and the number of concessions jobs is set to double from 700 to 1,400. Additionally, the program features industry-leading participation by Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, exceeding 56%.
