Larnaka & Pafos, Cyprus, Europe
Vantage led the consortium that successfully bid to develop, finance, build, and operate Larnaka International and Pafos International Airports in Cyprus. Our experience in operational readiness, government relations, project financing, and commercial development helped deliver these two significant capital projects – the largest construction contracts to ever be undertaken in Cyprus – on time and on budget.
As an island nation, Cyprus relies on its two airports as vital gateways to the world. For nearly two decades, Vantage has been a reliable steward of these national assets.
In 2006, the Government of Cyprus transferred the operation of both airports to a consortium led by Vantage.
Through the transition and redevelopment, Vantage oversaw operations, maintenance, safety, security, and compliance responsibilities for terminals, runways, taxiways, aprons, and landside facilities.
Larnaka and Pafos are the primary gateways to Cyprus, a popular eastern Mediterranean tourism destination for vacationers from Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.
Thanks to dedicated air service marketing efforts, substantial growth in passenger traffic has further revved the economic engines of Larnaka and Pafos in recent years. Approximately two hours apart by vehicle, the airports play distinct roles in the nation’s economy.
Larnaka
With 8.1 million passengers and 97 destinations in 2023, Larnaka is the primary gateway for local travelers, business, and goods movement. Its €517 million investment in the one million square-foot passenger terminal vastly increased operational efficiency, and enhanced the guest experience.
Pafos
Pafos’ 3.6 million passenger terminal offers passengers traveling on a number of ultra-low cost European airlines to and from 58 destinations an enhanced Cyprus-inspired guest experience and excellent customer service across a bright and airy 215,000 square foot facility.
Pafos and Larnaka are the open doors to the beautiful country of Cyprus, an increasingly popular destination for memorable holidays.

Vantage’s stake in Hermes Airports Limited, the consortium that manages the airports through a 25-year agreement with the Government of Cyprus
We are greatly honored and thrilled that Larnaka International Airport was voted the best airport in its category, at the largest global meeting of airports and airlines, receiving the universal recognition of our partners. This first-place achievement is a strong motivation for us to continue working tirelessly to enhance our country’s connectivity. We warmly thank all our airline partners for their votes and trust, reaffirming that with dedication, enthusiasm, and professionalism, we will carry on our joint effort.
A world of flavors, aromas, and traditions beckon travelers in Larnaka’s redesigned commercial program. Featuring more than 20 unique shopping and dining concepts across 70,000 square feet, the experience is inspired by the concept of Kypriaka – a taste of Cyprus. Locally sourced lace, pottery, and jewelry, along with famous Cypriot delicacies such as olive oil, honey, and halloumi cheese, are complemented by a robust duty free selection. The redesigned program has driven an increase in spending per passenger of approximately 15%.
At Vantage, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices are more than just a requirement—they are integral to our story.
We engage stakeholders and communities at every level and in every location across our network. Our commitment to sustainable practices and responsible business conduct is driven by our core ESG values. Annually updated and tracked, our goals serve as the compass guiding these activities.
Larnaka, Pafos, and the airports’ operator, Hermes Airports, are regular recipients of notable awards for guest experience, accessibility, and sustainability.
