30 Years of Transforming Transportation

From our early days at Vancouver International Airport to global gateways around the world, we have become the trusted partner in airport development, management, and operations.

Origin Story

Our Beginning

In 1994, Vancouver International Airport (YVR) founded Vancouver Airport Services (now Vantage Group) to export YVR’s award-winning experience and best practices to airports around the world – and we landed our first contract, a management and technical services assignment in the Caribbean. What started as a small company with three employees has grown into an industry-leading airport investment, development, management, and advisory services company with a global portfolio.

1994-2004

Cross Country Expansion

Our first decade saw us expand our airport development and management solutions across Canada, from Kamloops and North Peace Regional Airports in British Columbia to John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport in Ontario and Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport in New Brunswick. In addition to national growth, we also pursued partnerships and developed and managed new airport facilities in Bermuda, Turks & Caicos, and Santiago, Chile.

2004-2014

Warm Weather, Warm Hospitality

While continuing to expand our Canadian network, Vantage entered an era of airport redevelopment and management  in the Caribbean and the eastern Mediterranean, welcoming Montego Bay, Nassau, and Larnaka and Pafos airports in Cyprus to our network.

Global Know-How Lands in the U.S.

In our third decade of business, Vantage landed stateside, first with our $5 billion redevelopment and management of New York’s then-infamous LaGuardia Terminal B. We also debuted award-winning commercial solutions at Chicago Midway Airport and Kansas City International’s new terminal and welcomed our first commercial rail operation at Philadelphia’s Gray 30th Street Station.

Now, we’re onto our second New York City airport terminal transformation, at JFK’s existing International Terminal 7 and the development of the new International Terminal 6 to be completed in 2026.
